Carlos Semanate an immigrant from Colombia came to this country with his family after the loss of his father. He was only 14 years old at the time. His brother joined the military to allow his family the opportunity to change their immigrant status and allow the entire family to remain in this country and pursue the American dream. Working full-time jobs in high school and college, Carlos was able to pay his way to college and graduate with a degree in Health Information Management.
